Futurama: Bender’s Big Score
Futurama is back but on DVD!
Yes, Futurama has a future after all! This time, the Emmy winning animated sitcom is returning to their fans with movie direct to DVD. I am so excited to watch for something new from the show. I have been watching reruns of it on Comedy Central every late night and I become bored of it. However, the movie is out and it has won my attention back!
I will not reveal a lot in this review since the movie is just released to the masses. My favorite thing about the movie is that, after all this time, the movie has successfully made connections and continuation with the previous TV episodes. An example of the continuation is Fry’s New Year Eve incident. There is actually more things happen than we originally thought. Why such things happen is because of the movie plot which revolves around time traveling.
Well the story starts from nude beach escapades, spam intrusions, business take over, headless body, time traveling, marriage, whale loving, to galactic space war.
I did not get bored watching the show and it gets more interesting by the minute. Besides that, the movie also touches on topic on “what if Fry did get frozen in the time capsule”.
I am impressed with the characters as they have not changed or replaced their voice actors and they sound the same as in the series. On top of that, a large number of recurring characters appeared on this movie such as the genius basketball players, Hypnotoad, Evil Santa, Nibbler, Fry’s family and more.
In short, if you are a Futurama fan, you should watch this show because you are going to be satisfied that Futurama is back and they still have their touch in the humor department.
Rating: 8.5/10

Everything is going so fast in this episode!

“Heroes” is one of my favorite prime time show this year and unfortunately for us, the series is going to end in one more week. Due to the writer’s strike at

Peter tracked the virus creator who is one of The Company’s founders, Victoria Pratt and read her mind to find out the location of the Shanti Virus storage.

Claire and family were still grieving for Noah and gave Elle an ultimatum.

Lastly, Sylar helped Maya to learn how to use her power. He also secretly killed her brother and held Molly hostage.
To review, I am happy that Monica was back in action. This time, she performed acrobatic actions to break in the gangster’s house. It is always interesting to see what she can do with the muscle mimicry ability. Micah also showed off some of his power too by turning off the street lights so that Monica could break in undetected by the neighbors.
Maya got to use her power again and this time she did not need any help form her brother Alejandro. Meanwhile, despite having no power, Sylar could still kill. In my opinion, Sylar is still the best villain in Heroes. This time, he manipulated Maya and this could mean one bad situation since Maya possessed destructive power.
There was one thing that I did not like about this episode is that how fast Sylar and Maya travels. What mode of transportation that they used to travel so fast? If by car, it is impossible in one day and if by plane, where did they get the money from? Did Sylar and Maya killed more people along the way and stole their cash? Well, I guess that is not important since the drama storyline is being cut due to the strike. We could only use our imagination.
The episode left us with an exciting cliffhanger! The battle between 2 good heroes! Hiro and Peter! I hate it when we have to choose sides for who will prevail from the fight. I hope that Hiro could beat Peter and made him realize that Adam was using him for destroy the world. However, I think Peter is too much for Hiro to handle since he has Hiro’s ability of controlling space and time continuum and other powers too. It is IMBA I’ll tell you. IMBA! *IMBA means imbalanced. If you play a lot of DoTA, you will be very familiar with the term. However, my prediction is that Peter will win. I hope Hiro will not get killed because I read news that 2 heroes are going to die by the end of this season.
So, that is my review for this episode. I really can’t wait for the finale next week. I hope the ending will be as awesome as last season’s or even better.

Finally, Meg has more airtime!
Meg had more things to say in this episode. Usually, Meg only said a few sentences in an episode but this time the story was about her renewed relationship with Peter. The story started off when there was a flash flood in the housing area. In order to fulfill Peter’s wish for a beer, Meg dive into the flooded house to get one. Unfortunately, her shirt got snagged onto one the of refrigerator’s racks. She was drowned but was saved by Peter and was sent to the hospital. Peter realized his mistake for being unkind to her one and only daughter repented and vowed to treat Meg like a princess in the future – if she would ever wake up. Meg finally woke up and she met a medical student named Michael. Then the story goes on from there where Peter became overprotected towards her daughter.
This episode has a violent scene where Peter beat the crap out Meg’s bully. The scene is pretty nasty for my taste. Definitely do not let your kids see that.

I love watching Friends and the episode made a reference of a scene from the Friends series where Danny DeVito did a naked dance in front of Phoebe. In this episode, Peter did the same thing for Meg.
The Brian and Stewie - sidestory
No Family Guy show would complete without the adventure of Brian and Stewie Griffin. This time around, Stewie bought an abandon house and planned to renovate and resell it for more profit. In this part of the story, I was laughing my head off during their “over” conversation. Stewie refused to comprehend the things Brian says unless Brian ended his sentences with an “over”. That was, definitely, one of the good parts in that episode. In the end, Stewie’s plan to improve the house failed. So he decided to stop and blow up the house prematurely. They only realized that their technician was still in the building when the house exploded. Oh yes, the house blowing up scene was funny because it mocked the typical exploding house/car/building scenes of repeating the same action from different directions.
